W.C. Burgess Insurance Services Ltd. was founded by Bill Burgess in 1988, operating under the name of Brayton Insurance Services Ltd. He has a vision of providing a friendly welcoming atmosphere for clients , employees and business suppliers alike. He has trained a professional staff to see themselves as skilled problem solvers, not just order takers and to welcome all clients, rich or poor , young or old with the same courtesy.

In 1990 the company purchased the business of Owen R. Davis Insurance, a successful well established brokerage in Brockville. In 1991 , the company name was changed to W.C. Burgess Insurance Services Ltd. and moved to its present location.

In 2002, the company was fortunate enough to purchase the business of Heritage Insurance Brokers Ltd. and to retain two of their staff. This turned out to be a perfect match because Heritage Insurance had the same philosophy of customer care and professionalism.

The firm is registered as a licensed insurance broker with the Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario (RIBO). They are members of both the local and provincial associations of Insurance Brokers Association of Ontario ( IBAO). They act in the capacity of an intermediary between the consumer (the buyer of insurance or insured) and the insurer (insurance company providing coverage). Specializing in personal property, farm, auto and commercial insurance, we expanded to include financial products in 2002.
